Where Calm and Catty Coexist - Namaste

It's no secret that we love to get outside and sweat in style, and that we appreciate our furry friends, but can we do all of the above simultaneously? Soon, the Meow Parlour will test just how zen we can stay when being judged (and probably mocked) by a room full of felines. That's right, yoga with cats is now a thing.

If you don't know what Meow Parlour is, it's New York's infamous cat cafe. Though it's only been open for about a year and a half, it's been popular since it's debut with - reservations must be booked at least two weeks in advance. What's extra special about this place is that all the cats are available for adoption through Kitty Kind.

Classes won't start for another two weeks and will only be held at 3 P.M. on Tuesdays, but our friends at Well+Good had a sneak peak of these eagerly anticipated classes and reported back. In their interview with Meow Parlour's Christine Ha, she explained, "We just thought cat yoga would be fun and funny. It’s a good way to interact with the cats, and do something for your body at the same time." Essentially the writers at Well+Good concluded that practicing yoga with cats roaming around made them hyperaware of their body movements and was a purrrfect form of entertainment. We'll just have to wait two weeks and see for ourselves, meanwhile, meet some Meow Parlour's furry friends.
