We love carbs as much as the next person, but sometimes after binging on a bucket of breadsticks at our favorite Italian restaurant, we have to say enough is enough. Instead of suffering through salads and typical 'low-carb' substitutes like lettuce wraps and kale chips, we'd rather feast on more hearty vegetable-based dishes. If you're trying to cut down on gluten, or just need a break from carbs, try these yummy veggie substitutes. Portobello Mushrooms as Hamburger Buns

For those of us who can't get the sweet, sweet satisfaction of ordering a protein animal style burger at In N Out, we can at least grill up some portobello mushrooms for a savory replacement to traditional hamburger buns.
