#MODAvated To Secure Clean Water Access In The Sahel - Modavanti X Charity:Water

Charity : Water has announced that the $6100 the customers of Modavanti.com have helped raise will go to a village in Mali, West Africa. With each purchase on Modavanti.com, 2% goes to helping charity partners like Charity : Water take action to change conditions on the front lines of climate change.

Mali is a landlocked country with vast deserts and a long dry-season, where many people lack access to clean water and sanitation. It's one of the poorest countries in the world and has both a high risk of infectious disease and one of the world's highest infant mortality rates.

Thanks to your help, Charity : Water's local partner, World Vision, is busy working on 95 new and 31 rehabilitated drilled wells. In addition to drilling wells, they're building solar-powered systems that draw cool, clean water from deep underground and bring it to 78 new tap stands in the center of communities.

World Vision will also be focusing on bringing clean water, sanitation and hygiene training to 10 schools.

In the Winter of 2016, when the projects are complete, Charity : Water will collect GPS coordinates, photos and other details about each community to show all of us the impact we collectively made in the Sahel.

Thank you for your support and check back soon for more progress updates!
