This NYFW Show Broke All The Rules, And It Was Great

The types of models we see on the runway are changing for the better. Carrie Hammer is at the forefront of this change with her empowering message of "Role Models Not Runway Models." Yesterday, we attended her show at the Mercedes Benz showroom (sponsored by Dove, how fitting), where twenty six accomplished women strutted their stuff in Carrie's latest collection. From Olympic Figure Skater Meryl Davis to TED Executive Producer June Cohen, we were fascinated by every Role Model. 

What made the show even more special was that it was so believable. The clothes didn't only fit the women, they fit their personalities, causing the show to become a celebration of not just clothes, but women doing incredible things. Even the audience was included, a few even got on the stage at the end of the show to practice their best runway walks and took photos with the role models. If only every runway show was so much fun...
