This week Entourage The Movie premiered in what has been a much anticipated project since the show ended its run on HBO a few years ago. The movie dives back into the lives of super hero Aquaman turned Hollywood it-boy Vincent Chase (played by Adrian Grenier) and his haphazard group of family cronies and hired men. This time, Chase is on a quest to star and direct a new film that is part of Ari Gold's new production studio.
While Aquaman may be far from the current plot line of the movie, off-screen Grenier has taken to defending and saving the environment as his mission. In 2011, post-Entourage, Grenier started SHFT.com as a platform to "convey a more sustainable approach to the way we live through film, design, art and food." SHFT has partnered with big names including Ford in a video series called THE BIG SHFT, focusing on interviewing leaders making the 2010s the conscious revolution, mirroring the1910s during which the second wave of the industrial revolution started to take flight.
Grenier, like others in the space believe this is not a question of it, but one of when.
Moral of the Story: Super heroes need something to do when they are off-screen - and climate change is a good villain.
